Shootout..

Singtel SMS Shootout was held on sunday at MOS.

I was the timekeeper for the event and somehow it was not really a good thing..By the end of it all it felt like I was Paralyzed from the waist down..Should have done scorekeeping.

It really is amazing to see how fast one can type their sms as well as see how competitive some people really are.

Apparently the winner broke the world record..Kudos to him.. :)

Mrc3 called yesterday..nice surprise..last time we update each other was about one and half years ago..

Manage to catch P.S I Love You, the movie which was adapted by the book from Cecilia Ahern, the book is a masterpiece but the movie was good only because it managed to capture the essence of the emotions that is portrayed in the book...A touching story..

P/s: Where Did I Go Wrong?

Compassion

There has been some controversy on the funeral held by the zoo for one of its most popular icon Ah-meng. It seems that some feel that it is something unnecessary and that at the end of the day she is just “an animal”.

A little compassion goes a long way..compassion is not only meant for family or friends but for everything around us cause at the end of the day we all are God’s creations.

The death of Ah-meng is likened to the death of someone dear to us. Just like having a pet, we share a bond with the pet that we have, we take care of it, feed it, clean it and so on and at the same time they have impact us in a strong way too, they filled up a place in our heart and losing them is the same as losing a close family member whom we love dearly.

Therefore, there are a lot of people who shared a bond with Ah-meng, who in-turn had made a difference in their life, and one thing for sure is that losing something or someone is painful all the same.

I just feel that it is only fair that those who might not be impacted by her death be a bit compassionate in respecting her right as well as others who have grew fond of her and shared precious memories.

Today we had science module and we had to do on transgenes...Process of transferring genes to allow a flower to glow..nice isnt it....the thing is that we had to use a lot of the word ORGANISM....which is an individual form of life, such as a plant, animal, bacterium and blah blah blah...and then there's this guy who was presenting his slides to the class..he steadily read through his ppt but instead of the word ORGANISM...he said................ORGASM...my oh my....imagine the reaction of the class....wonder what he's thinking about....too bad for him...he's gonna suffer in the hands of other fellow classmates who are not that kind when you make such mistakes...haha..

Run Leg..Run...

Decide to join for the leg run which is some sort of an Amazing Race the RP way..(Shakes head)..Roped in 3 more kakis as it is a team of 4. After much scouting and begging haha..end up with laura, shirin and ys...we call ourselves Within Temptation..inspired by one of the greatest band around.. ;)

Basically each team has 20 pits stop, with the race starting and ending at RP...I have nothing but complaints..

Accomplished Pit-stops

1. Raffles Place Mrt - it was quite easy..clear cut
2. Lau pa sat- ask us to count the number of bells which we didnt even know existed..heng the bell go "ting" when we wanted to give up and it was exactly on top of our head. Station master give us wrong info somemore..
3. Cavenagh bridge - had to walk the entire length of bridge twice with all our ankles tied together..its a saturday for goodness sake and we had all these people taking wedding pics on the bridge blocking our way..
4. Sir Stamford Raffles Statue - quite simple just take picture
5. Padang - one member had to kick a rugby ball through the pole and we also had to tie rubber band for zero-point and had to jump and untie it back .The station master here is so distracted don't know by what also...
6. Merlion - Had to translate a japanese, korean and thai word to english..lucky got friends who know
7. Suntec City- How unlucky can we get..chased out by security guards..station master also..unforseen judgement by the organizers..
8. Funan the It Mall - ask us to ask a member of public for one strand of white hair before giving us the questions..they think singaporeans are so kind to give us..of course we cheated lah took one of the members hair..no need to say who ah..haha..then all the questions were on IT..something that we know nuts about..
9. National Library- ask us to help one of the pushcarts to sell an item to a customer..the items they selling also..i don't think there would be any customer lah..
10. Bugis Mrt- say Mrt but wait infront of Macs..trying to be funny...
11. The Guan Yin temple- this one i like..cause they ask us to eat orange..haha..then we supposed to do out the word "prosperity" or "wealth" in chinese with the orange peel
12. Sultan Mosque- Chapteh station, a skill that we are quite ok at..haha
13. Army market- This one also the same, say one place wait at another..haiz..then want us to ask an army guy to teach us one army cheer..
14. Youth Park - ask us questions on Botanic garden..how do we know?
15. Fort Canning Park - THE WORST STATION EVER..they think the park so small ah..ask us to walk like hell..haiz..no more comments (1 freakin hour wasted there)
16. Clarke Quey - This is actually a wrong station that we ended on..the clue states old satay club..our instinct brought us here but it actually was esplanade..wasted time again..
17. Zouk-this was fine we just had to spell out the word zouk with things that we have
18. Chinatown point- We wanted to take a bus there but apparently the road is block because of the chinese new year thingy lighting up...so much for planning organizers...we managed to get thru anyways..

Well I have to say I had fun, although alot of glitches..I feel that I actually learn alot today and brought back some fine moments with body ache too.. ;)

Well most people say that the new year is a chance for a new beginning...I don't truly agree...I feel that changes is something that happen every moment. It could be planned or unplanned..but like it or not it is a different matter all together.What you anticipate or dream of might not always happen...And what you ruled out is still a possibility.But the main thing is to make use of the situation presented to you and learn to adapt..
